Up to date: Research topic for Master and Bachelor Thesis

(http://isprat.net/fileadmin/downloads/pdfs/ISPRAT_Politiker_im_Netz_Uni_St_Gallen_Zb.pdf, letzter Zugriff 14.1.2013)

The World Wide Web definitely enables an enormous way to reach people around the world. It has the power to influence, to manipulate, to form public opinion. This is true not only for the political domain. In all areas of life, the social web connects people, leads to opinion(s) and is able to even manipulate public opinion. This leads to the research topic:

Opining making and opinion leading and how the (social) web emotionalizes.

This topic can be grasped from various perspectives

  1. Media Law: Is our law still up to date when it comes to social media? How far can one go?
  2. Reception and communication in the internet. Uses and Gratifications…. for whom?
  3. Emotions and public opinion the social web
  4. Playing a role in the web. Implications
  5. Visual communication. How picture influence what we feel and how we judge.
